Anita Swarup Alexander

Swarup is a Surrey-based artist with a BA Honours Art History Degree from the University of Sussex. She works with mixed media, acrylics and charcoal which combines impressionistic painting with her original photographs. Her work is characterised by its energy and use of light and are often ‘atmospheric.’ The paintings ask you to feel and experience; not to think. Themes are primarily of oceans and rivers, such as the Thames, which ask the viewer to reflect on the experience of the infinite and that which makes us feel vibrant and alive.
